Any 5K's planned for this year?

I know at least one or two of my friends, as well as myself, are planning to at least go up to a GT in Toronto over the summer hopefully. Maybe Ohio too.

We're totally looking forward to getting as big of a turn out for as many tournaments as we can.

I know for some people a lot of the appeal of a $5K is getting to design their own card and have their likeness done by the artist on it. I mean the cash is obviously great too but if the cash were smaller and the artist likeness were still a prize (Along with a good chunk of points for Worlds) I suspect a lot of people would still come out.

Do people think a tournament like that would work?

I know I'd be fine with something like this. I mean, yeah, I'd love a bit of cash to try and help cushion the blow of expense, but a lot of the fun is creating a card of yourself for you and other people to use. Also, with a new point system for worlds entry, this will help obtain some of the needed points.

I live in Long Beach Cali and we just had this hardcore lightning/thunder storm. it went on for like 2 days then dissapeared in like 1 hour. But Cali weather is almost always nice. ANYWAY, I Wanna know what this whole thing is all about
